About Waterfall and our Quality Assurance

Established in 1986, Waterfall Garage in Wimbledon provides quality services at affordable prices, with a wide knowledge of all makes of vehicles.

Waterfall was started by David Cruttenden in Waterfall Cottages in Colliers Wood, and one year later moved to Beulah Road, Wimbledon where it is still based. David’s younger brother Martin joined soon after, and the company, with its dedication to high quality work and great customer service, has enjoyed profitable growth ever since.

On their 30th anniversary in 2016, Managing Director Martin Cruttenden said:

“We are very proud to have built a successful and friendly business in Wimbledon, where we offer a range of first class services including vehicle servicing, MOT & repair, tyre replacement and vehicle recovery. 

In recent years, Waterfall has continued to expand and keep ahead of the growing industry regulation, for example by choosing to ensure all it’s operational staff are fully trained to well above the minimum required standards, and after investment in new Autologic equipment for BMW and VAG Group vehicles in 2009, we are now taking care of  your full BMW, MINI, Volkswagen, Audi, Seat & Skoda service needs in Wimbledon, without the need to use a main dealer.

Computerised 4 wheel alignment equipment

As part of our ongoing improvement programme we have recently been investing in our premises, including updating the frontage to the garage and modernising our workshops in Buelah Road in Wimbledon. We have also recently invested in specialist equipment for four-wheel alignment. We are really looking forward to the next 10 years.”

PAS 43: 2018 (Publicly Available Specification) is a the latest specification published by the British Standard Institution and sponsored by Government, the Police Service, motoring services organisations and the motoring industry. Specialist Training

To become a certified professional in the Rescue and Recovery Industry in the United Kingdom requires all operators undergo rigorous training to demonstrate their skills before being allowed to work on Britain’s road network.

All operators need to pass three core modules:

VR01 Health and Safety
VR02 Customer Service Skills
VR03 Roadside Safety

And then can choose from the following modules as appropriate to the specific work they will be undertaking:

VR04 Ancilliary Equipment (RTDs, Tow Poles, A-Frame Towers
VR05 Spectacle Lift
VR06 Transporters
VR07 Winching (Light Vehicle Recovery)
VR8 – 11 Motorcycle Recovery (including Handling Motorcycles, Ancilliary Equipment, Spectacle Frames, transporters)
